MONTHLY CAREGIVER SUPPORT CONVERSATIONS
The caregiver support group is held monthly at Greenwich Free Library to provide a safe and understanding space for individuals who care for loved ones experiencing illness and disabilities, whether sudden onset or chronic, The group offers emotional support and shared experiences to help caregivers manage stress and prevent burnout. The group also connects members with valuable resources and community services to support their caregiving roles. There is also a monthly Alzheimer and dementia support group; check the library calendar for dates and times for both groups.

AGING IN COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS
Monthly programming at the library features topics related to aging in community.

RESOURCE MATERIALS

  • Books, articles and other resources that guide, inspire or illuminate the work of caregivers, advanced care planning, heathy aging, end of life plans, death and dying.
  • Contact lists with regional, county and state offices or programs to support aging in community.

ELDERS AND CAREGIVERS RESOURCE CENTER
A resource center to help connect to local and regional services, and with experts to support aging in community and family caregiving. Lending library including lists of materials and services. Volunteers and neighbors helping neighbors.

DIRECTORY OF LOCALLY-BASED PROFESSIONAL CARE PROVIDERS
A searchable online list of experienced care providers with references. 

MORNING CALLS 
Volunteers provide daily phone check-in for elders who live alone.

DEATH CAFE
Monthly in-person conversations about death and dying. Realistic and honest talk about the universal process and the unique experiences about terminal illness, wellbeing, and dying. 

CAREGIVER SKILLS TRAINING
A series of basic skills for providing care at home.
