The Greenwich Free Library depends on volunteers! Consider joining us.
At the circulation desk:
We hold monthly trainings to give you the basics of policies and procedures. Call to sign up for the next one. You can download the volunteer application:
In the Garden:
A dedicated group of gardeners meets once or twice weekly during the growing season to plant and maintain our eye-catching garden. Over the winter, there are planning meetings for the season to come and the annual plant sale. New gardeners are always welcome and it’s a great opportunity for novices to learn from our team of experts. Send an email to grn-director@sals.edu and we’ll put you in touch with the green team.
In the Gill Room:
Our history specialists are on hand on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and field questions about local history all year long. Interested in deepening your knowledge of local history and sharpening your detective skills? Contact Sandy Reynolds.
Friends of the Greenwich Free Library:
The Friends of the Greenwich Library work to support the Library’s endeavors in whatever way they can. In recent years, much of the support has been financial. We help the library do or buy something outside the reach of the regular library budget. Click here for more information on the Friends.
For special projects and events:
Can’t make it to a regular shift at the circulation desk but still want to help? Contact Sarah Murphy at grn-director@sals.edu and we’ll see how we can put your skills to work.
